Lomi Lomi is not just a modality of massage but it is a stewardship, not only of the cultural traditions from which it is a part, but as a stewardship of your own practice and the people that will come into the sacred space to receive Aloha.

Level one will bring you deeper into Ke ahe makani o Aloha (the gently wafting breeze of love) and all the ways it flows across aina (land), kino (body) and iho (self).

Louise Kleu - Owner

About Louise

Intimacy with the Self, the Soul, & Source through the glorious vessel of the human body is the pure heart of Louise’s teachings & work in the world. Leading her students & clients into a deeper relationship of fearless self-knowing, self-acceptance, self-healing & self-love through the unconditional spirit of Aloha is her gift & her passion in the world. The sacred arts of Lomi Lomi Nui bodywork & Yoga are both pillars of & access points to her teachings of trauma transcendence & healing, & her focus is to assist people in returning to wholeness within themselves. Louise’s healing arts & expertise have been honed over a lifetime & career spanning three decades & four continents.

My life in South Africa primed me for the work that I now offer the world.

I grew up in a loving family in Kwazulu-Natal, South Africa during the Apartheid regime where segregation & separation were a culturally & socially indoctrinated way of life & way of being. It was our normal. Them & us. Distrust in the ‘other’, fear of the ‘other’. Trust in separation.

As an innocent little child, I thought nothing of this early on. My life was normal family life & it played out for me exploring the bush & the mountains, & generally answering the call of nature to run wild & free as all children seem to do. That innocence, peace & safety of early childhood abruptly & shockingly gave way to the horrors of a political, social & physical landscape in massive upheaval & turbulence. Apartheid was out, liberation & land reclamation was in & unspeakable horrors & atrocities to bodies & being came with that.

Suddenly the energies of threat, violence & fears for safety & survival were pushed to the forefront & the flimsy veils of perception were torn. I witnessed traumas of rape, murder & torture of my countryfolk. It left the imprinting of massive trauma on my physical body & psyche.

I moved through my teenage years with difficulty, turning to substances to relieve some of the pressure of abuse I had witnessed or experienced. Eventually reaching beyond abusive power plays & unhealthy

coping strategies for a healthier, more spiritual, holistic way of being. The Divine guided me to poetry, prayer, nutrition & travel.

I studied Psychology at University of South Africa until my wandering spirit beckoned me to Brasil, the UK, the Middle East & finally Australia where my love for the ocean called me to study Marine Biology.

However, destiny had other plans.

My father passed away in 1999 so I returned to South Africa & left the dream of Australia behind me, along with that timeline of potential. As that door shut, another opened bringing through my first mentor -Anthea Hardwick- who introduced me to Kahuna massage & from the first moment, I was hooked. It was love at first ‘feel’. The beauty, potency & mystery of this sacred shamanic Hawaiian art felt like ‘home’ to me & so I began my apprenticeship. For four years with Anthea as my ‘kumu’, I revealed, explored & healed the depths & breadths of the trauma & wounding that had been lived in my own body & spirit & worked on my craft. A new way of living life lovingly opened up to me that offered not only a way for me to express my own love & gift in the world, but to also go beyond an innate shyness & move into beautiful connections with people in the spirit of Aloha.

Answering the deep inner impulse to share this sacred work of inner transformation through body & soul, I completed my Lomi Lomi Nui Teacher Training with Susan Pa’inui Floyd in Kauai in 2004 & began teaching the art & way of Aloha -as a profound pathway through lasting soul evolution- in Cape Town shortly afterwards. Those years of working with people (from all over the world/South Africa) yielding to their own souls’ calls for expansion & deepening into more of their embodied divinity moved me into my own leadership & teachership.

Another bend in destiny’s river brought me to Ireland in 2007, following my heart & my bliss in more ways than one. Now, one husband, two beautiful sons, a successful healing & teaching practice, & a stunning retreat centre later, you can find me at Aloha House overlooking the River Laune in Killorglin, nestled into the spectacular landscape of The Reeks District,  Co. Kerry (they call it ‘The Kingdom – you’ll see why).

This retreat centre is a cherished dream of my heart, & it is my pure pleasure & joy for me to welcome students & clients from all over the world ….A L O H A

Kay Scholtz - Teacher

About Kay

Kay started his therapeutic ways within the Equine world. Having grown up with horses through his younger years he got deeper involved from the age of 11 when he found a deep connection with first horse/teacher Goosey Lucey.

Here he learned the connect attribute with animals and found that using this he was able to gain trust with most animals and assist them in healing with injuries eventually helping with the family run Equine Rehabilitation Centre.

Through working with horses which were the cause of several injuries he truly got to understand how the human body works.

Unfortunately one too many injuries side lined him and after much thought he chose to work with people rather than animals in 2020, beginning his trainings in Neuromuscular Therapy with the National Training Center, which lead to seeking for a deeper connection. Half way through after getting his first Certificate he immediately furthered his studies with Aubrey Gowning at Dublin Holistic Cente, Golden Egg College, Obus and sought more teachers within Bodywork, which he found in the form of Louise Kleui McEvoy for Lomi Lomi NUI. Here he found exactly what he was looking for. The spiritual door way had finally opened fully.

For the past two years, Kay has studied with Louise Kleui McEvoy and Kekuhi Kealiikanakaole of Lonoa Honua LLC, deepening his knowledge in Hawaiian language, culture, mythology, spirituality and Lomi Lomi Nui.

Suzi Savanah - Teacher

About Suzi

SuziSavanah is a native Australian, based in Athlone, the beating heart of Ireland. She is a Lomi Lomi practitioner and teacher, Author, Shamanic practitioner in the Irish tradition, and an Archaeologist of Myths and Spirituality. Her Lomi Lomi practice, workshops and daily life are all full of Aloha. Her ethos is one of love, nurturing, education and support.

Born in Brisbane, she was part of the culture of South Pacific Islanders through close family friends and when she left Australia, moved straight to the jungles of Indonesia where she lived and worked for two years. Deeply immersed in the dance, their spirituality, bodywork, the landscape and the culture of the Balinese people until it was part of her bones (iwi).

Suzi Savanah then spent several years developing qualifications in the the States, before moving to Ireland 20 years ago.
In the mana-filled land of Éire, she has cultivated an intimate connection with the landscape and its ancient knowledge through theatre, a Masters in Landscape Archaeology and shamanic practice. She is always returning that love for land and people through the connection to all those she works with either one to one or in groups.
Story and myth are an important part of her work. It is through the myths of Hawaii that she has deepened her Lomi Lomi treatments and bought Hawaiian spirituality into her daily life
and thought. The way myths, stories and land are layered into our psyche is a personal passion of hers. It is a way of connecting with and revealing deeper layers of the self and the
spirit of Aloha that weaves through all things. The Aloha that flows from the divine (Mai ka pō mai), and the heavens (lani), to bring healing and transformation to all those who dance with her.
Her lineage Source of Hawaiian spirituality and healing are from Indigenous Hawaiian Kahuna, Abraham Kawai’i of Kauai. These teachings were passed on by Louise Kleu through her first teacher Anthea Hardwick, who was trained by Mette Sorensen. The Lineage also extends to ‘Kino Mana’ with Susan Floyd who was a close student of Abraham Kawai’i and who Louise Kleu also studied under. SuziSavanah has also trained with Lonoa Honua based in Hilo, Hawaii with educator Kekuhi Keali’ikanaka’ole.
